There might only be a little over a week left in October, but that's not an excuse to become any less enthusiastic about breast cancer awareness month.
There's still time to think pink.
Sites like the Pink Ribbon Review promote breast cancer awareness products from companies all over the country. Tamperseal.com is doing it's own part to provide products that remind others and ignite action in the fight against breast cancer.
The best way to increase awareness and promote advocacy is to become a champion of your cause wherever you travel.
You can do this without saying a word. It's wearing a Race for the Cure T-shirt to spark conversation. It's getting a nod of solidarity when you go the grocery store with your pink and black Susan G. Komen tote.
You do all of this because:
- Every three minutes a woman is diagnosed
- The incidence of breast cancer in Hispanic women has remained level from 1995-2004
- In your lifetime one in eight women will be diagnosed with the disease
