Whether you're headed to Panama City or Steamboat Springs, there are serious threats that face young travelers looking for fun during spring break.
Follow these tips from the CDC to stay safe and have a great time:
- If you're legal, limit alcohol intake during spring break. There are a multitude of problems associated with binge drinking such as unintentional injuries, alcohol poisoning, neurological damage and more.
- Stay active instead of lounging around. Try a new water sport or learn how to snowboard for the first time.
- Plan a trip successfully and make travel safety your No. 1 priority. If traveling by air, use TSA Locks to protect your luggage and continue to lock up while in your hotel room.
- Remind yourself of the rules for swimming and boating to avoid accidents.
