Plane hopping, missing connections, packed flights, delays. Air travel is at the height of its stress inducing majesty. But, there are things you can do now to prepare for later.
If you're traveling with tiny tots:
- Snacks! - (and gum for ear pressure if they're old enough to chew it) Need we say more? Having your child's favorite healthy snacks can keep them happy and occupied. They also serve as good bargaining tools.
- Favorite toy - The good old comfort toy is a must have. You probably already know this. What you might not have thought of...
- The Surprise Toy - buy a few brand new (not so loud that it drives the other passengers nuts) toys. It will be an unexpected delight
- Coloring books - and other non-messy crafts
For the adults ( who can get just as cranky, if not crankier than the kids):
- Books, Magazines- We always say we never have enough time to read. There's really no excuse when you're thousands of feet up in the air for hours at a time.
- Noise Reducing Ear Buds - Yes! The perfect accompaniment to your MP3 player. They reduce ambient noise and produce quality audio for you to get lost in the music. It includes a protective case, too!
- Snacks! - I guess adults are not that different from kids. Snack on some almonds for a protein-powered pick me up. It will help keep your energy stable and prevent those cranky lows.
